You’re a Margaritaville Vacation Club timeshare owner, which means you’re basically a pro at tropical trips and planning your paradise. When you’re ready to book your next vacation at your desired resort, remember these three booking basics.
You receive your points every Use Year. These points will be deducted when you make a reservation. The number of points you’ll need to book your vacation depends on the resort destination, season, length of stay, and suite size — use the points chart for each resort to calculate the total for your stay. You can find the points chart at the bottom of the resort page after “Room Types.”
When you receive your Use Year points, you’ll also receive housekeeping credits. These credits pay for the cleaning of your suite prior to your arrival. Just like your points, housekeeping credits are deducted from your account when you make a reservation.
You receive one housekeeping credit for every 70,000 points, and they can be used to make your Margaritaville Vacation Club, Club Wyndham, and Wyndham Club Pass reservations.
You will need one housekeeping credit plus your points to book your next vacation. If you run out of housekeeping credits, no problem. You can purchase more for $159 per credit when booking a reservation.
Just like your points, your housekeeping credits will expire at the end of your Use Year.
VIP Owners
Owners with VIP Silver, Gold, or Platinum benefits who purchased into an eligible tier on or before Nov. 10, 2020, will receive unlimited housekeeping credits, and will not be charged for housekeeping credits when making a reservation.
Owners with VIP benefits who purchased into an eligible tier after Nov. 10, 2020, will receive the following supplemental allotment, in addition to your annual award of housekeeping credits:
· Bronze: +1
· Silver: +2
· Gold: +4
· Platinum: +6
· Founders: +8
Cancellation Policy
Your housekeeping credits and Use Year points share the same cancellation policy. If you cancel a reservation 15 days or more prior to your vacation, then your housekeeping credit(s) will go back to their original Use Year. If you cancel 14 days before or less, then your housekeeping credit(s) will be forfeited.
If you cancel a reservation that was booked with rented points and/or housekeeping credits, you will receive a refund back to the original source of payment.
You get one reservation transaction for every 77,000 points. They are deposited to your account on Jan. 1 of each year, and expire on Dec. 31.
A reservation transaction is redeemed when you make specific reservations, deposits, or transactions, such as:
You can purchase additional reservation transactions for $39 when booking over the phone. Please note that these purchases are non-refundable. The fee for additional Reservation Transactions will be waived when booking on your owner website.
Cancellation Policy
Reservation transactions are not returned to your account when a reservation is canceled.
Now that you know how all three booking basics work, use them to book your first vacation! Here are two real-life examples to show you how many points, reservation transactions, and housekeeping credits you will need to complete your reservation.
