Resort Update: Hurricane Season 2024

A number of owners have reached out about resorts impacted by recent hurricanes. The update below is accurate as of Oct. 11, 2024.

Hurricane Helene

Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Sapphire Valley

  • We anticipate reopening the resort on Sunday, October 13, however this may change if local conditions deteriorate further.
  • Some roadways have been impacted by the storm. Road conditions are improving, but visitors to the area should plan their route in advance, using local media to verify conditions.
  • Utility services are being restored in this area.
  • Cell and internet service may be limited in areas.
  • Further updates will be posted once they become available.

Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains (Lake Lure)

  • The resort will remain closed through at least Sunday, October 19, and may be extended based on local conditions.
  • Local officials are restricting access to the area to local residents only.
  • Most roadways to the property are not accessible.
  • There is no water servicing the resort and electricity is limited to certain buildings.
  • The surrounding area is without power, landlines, network, and cell reception due to infrastructure damage.
  • Further updates will be posted once they become available. 

Hurricane Milton

Central Florida Resorts

Club Wyndham Clearwater Beach

  • Impacts were minimal.
  • The property remains without power, which is projected to be restored on Friday, October 11.
  • Amenities such as the pool and beach access may not be available at the time of reopening.
  • Due to the conditions at this resort, owners and guests may prefer to cancel or reschedule their vacations, and may do so through Monday, October 14, with a full return of points or credits used for the reservations.
  • Further updates will be posted once they become available.

Club Wyndham/WorldMark Ocean Walk

  • Many units suffered water intrusion from the wind-driven rain.
  • Water and HVAC have been restored at the South Tower.
  • Minor damage has been reported around the exterior of the property.
  • Cleanup efforts are underway.
  • Due to impacts sustained from Hurricane Milton, we cannot accommodate arrivals checking in through at least Monday, October 14, 2024. This may be extended based on conditions at the resort.
  • Owners and guests should be aware that the water intrusion in units has resulted in very limited inventory available while contractors work to mitigate damage from the hurricane. They may prefer to cancel or reschedule their vacations, and may do so through Friday, October 18, with a full return of points or credits used for the reservations.

  • Amenities are in the process of reopening.
  • Due to the conditions at these resorts, owners and guests may prefer to cancel or reschedule their vacations, and may do so through Saturday, October 12 with a full return of points or credits used for the reservations.

South Florida Resorts

  • These resorts will be welcoming owners and guests as normal as of Friday, October 11:

    • Club Wyndham Royal Vista
    • Club Wyndham/WorldMark Santa Barbara
    • Club Wyndham/WorldMark Sea Gardens
